Yesterday I Woke Up Sucking a Lemon

Sometimes lyrics are so strange that you convince yourself you've heard them wrong. For example, this post's title has been generously given to us by the lovely Radiohead from their song Everything in it's Right Place. And everything was in it's right place because for once I heard the lyrics correctly.

Comeback Kid One (let's call him Patricia) and Comeback Kid Two (let's call her George) once had a fight and it went like this:

George: Let's listen to Prince, When Doves Cry, and sing and dance along.

Patricia: Yes. I love this song and it's complicated lyrical structure.

George: Oh yes. I know all the lyrics.

And the singing and dancing commenced. But after the first chorus everything got a bit strange...

Patricia: (Singing very loudly) "Touch if you will my stomach, feel how it trembles inside."

George: Oh Patricia, they're not the lyrics. Don't be stupid.

But kids, they are the lyrics. Lesson learned.

Apologies if you actually read this inane post,
Comeback Kid
