Aha! Welcome to round 2 of our guest blogger series kids - up today is the ever busy, ever blogging Melbournian Fashion Hayley sharing her extensive knowledge of Japanese fashion but with a male twist of course! Hayley has more tasks on her plate than we here at Comeback Kid could handle, including (and seriously, we're only naming a few): Creative Director at Melbourne Street Fashion, Stylist, Photographer and all round socialite to boot. With two blogs under her name, a regularly updated Twitter and the ability to pop up at more than one event at any given moment we had to lock her in a cage for three days to ensure she had enough time to complete the below post! Creepy. Enjoy! P.S. Don't forget our guest blogger competition!

Shopping in Japan (for the guys!)
by Fashion Hayley

If you're one of the lucky people who recently scored the cheap tickets to Tokyo with the amazing Jetstar sale then this post is for you! I've been asked to write about menswear for my guest blog for Comeback Kid. Now I'm no expert when it comes to menswear but I know what I like and I know what I don't like. I guess it the same when it comes to womens wear.

I like creative artistic fashion which pretty much sums up Tokyo street fashion. Seeing as I'm a relative expert on all things cool and hip in Tokyo I thought I might write a short guide to the best menswear stores in the bright neon city.

Candy
Candy was the first clothing store of its kind to open in the gay district of Tokyo (Shinjuku Ni-chome), leading to it being called a pioneer. Walking into Candy is exactly like walking into a fashion candy store with vintage Marigella and Versace dancing playfully on the asymmetric racks mixing it with pieces by local Tokyo Harajuku club kids designs. The Candy Blog gives us Melbournites a daily dose of fashinsanity with extreme Japanese hotty Yana modeling his stores intense wears. A MUST visit if your ever in Tokyo that's for sure!

Nincompoop Capacity
When I asked the kid who runs the place how he come up with the name he said simply "Nincompoop is my favourite English word, Capacity has no meaning". No more needs to be said about this store because making sense of it takes away so much. It makes no sense. You will find vintage Reebok's next to a pair of traditional tabi boots painted with fluro puff paints. Amazing.

Garter
Koshiro is only 19 and this store is his baby. Set in an apparently haunted house in the grungy part of Koenji it is the perfect place for him to create with dirt cheap rent and a 100 yen supermarket nearby. Koenji is a hot bed of young creative people setting up stores or "ateliers" where they design, make and sell their wears and this is probably one of the best.

So those are my hot tips for shopping in Tokyo!
